Bing is donating $ to schools in need...We need your vote to pick the schools that will receive the Money

Bing is awarding a quarter-million dollars in prize money divided among four schools in need, and your vote can make all the difference.

The entry with the most votes wins $100k, and 3 others will each win $50k.

Bing is giving away up to $900,000 to schools in need through DonorsChoose.org, a non-profit website where public school teachers can post classroom projects that need funding. Be one of the first 30,000 to vote for your favorite finalists each day and receive a $3 donation code to redeem for the classroom project of your choice!

The voting phase starts TOMORROW Friday, October 29 and runs through Sunday, November 7. America will be asked to vote on the 15 Our School Needs finalists as determined by the panel of judges. The winners will be announced Tuesday, November 9.

As a certified teacher myself I know how tight the school budgets can be and how it makes teaching very difficult. For example, Many of the schools around me have a limit on copies a teacher can make per month. So many teachers are paying for copies for their classrooms out of their own checks.

Also books are very expensive and many times schools are unable to provide enough of them. So many schools have children sharing books or books that are ripped, missing pages and falling apart. Imagine how helpful this money will be and how many kids will benefit.

I was really touched by two of the finalist schools. These 2 are my favorites

Mackay Elementary School who has been without heat due to a boiler breaking and the boiler cost 60k to fix. Kids have to try and focus and learn with coats on in freezing temperatures.

The Tucson Accelerated high school located in a half empty strip mall and the kids eat lunch on the hallway floors. How sad :(

Take a minute to read these stories and please vote to help a school and better the children attending it.

I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Bing and received a gift card and DonorsChoose.org giving code to thank me for taking the time to participate.
