FRAAS Fall 2013 chic scarfs

"I was sent a scarf to review. All opinions are my own"

Once again FRAAS has created a beautiful new fall collection of scarves.
The new Fall/Winter range for 2013/2014 from FRAAS – The Scarf Company features photorealistic digital prints, unconventional colour combinations and high quality materials. For the first time there are product highlights in the range made of a modal camelhair blend that is complemented by fine materials like washed wool, cotton or silk. Furthermore double-face effects have been playfully incorporated to give scarves and shawls a completely new look.

Nouveau Generation - This theme is characterized by opulent graphic patterns. Colour blocking, zigzag, XXL houndstooth and geometrics are featured in this intensely colourful theme. Multi-facetted kaleidoscope and radiant designs that are reminiscent of psychedelic patterns artfully play with the forms and colour frenzy of the theme. The new material combinations of modal and camelhair come into use in ways that really make the digital prints uniquely come to life. The colour ways of this theme are dominated by various shades of blue with accents in orange, yellow and neon.

Country Etiquette - In this theme prints and floral patterns from folklore in dark red and warm autumn shades of burnt orange on heavy silk or boiled wool play an outstanding role. Scarves and shawls decorated especially with roses in combinations with classic checks and knits are characteristic for the rustic feeling of the "Country Etiquette" look. Warm shades of brown like chocolate, pepper or chestnut further emphasize and express the link with nature of the various designs focusing on flora and fauna which are evident in the leaf and floral forms. Palace

Grandeur - The Palace of Versailles is the main inspiration for this line. Opulent and decadent designs with baroque ornaments and magnificent pageants grace these shawls and scarves. A special highlight is the printed diamond and ornate jewellery elements in photorealism, as well as prints of architectural elements from the palace of Louis XIV. The colourways are made up of exuberant aubergine and purple which make a particularly strong impression in combination with shades of gold and bronze. Along with these noble colours metallic glitter effects have a special place and once again bring to mind the legendary Sun King.
