Happy 4th

We have been having a great weekend. Today we had a BBQ and visited my friends new house.

Yesterday my niece Madelyn turned 1

My husband is not only an amazing dad but an amazing Uncle also :)

We all had a great time. Good food, inflatable Water slide that shane loved, fireworks and lots of laughs.

There was also a really big storm and the sky was awesome looking. I took some neat pictures.

I hope all of you are having a wonderful 4th!

Butterflies at the Zoo

We took Shane to the Detroit Zoo yesterday. He loved the Penguins and Giraffe. I was most excited about the Butterflies.

BEAUTIFUL BUTTERFLIES

Lucky for us the zoo is only 15 minutes from where we live. I am sure we will go back again this summer.

Spring/Summer is here (I HOPE)

The last few days have been beautiful here in Michigan. In the 60's and 70's. Just perfect days.

I can only hope it stays this way. Shane has been very excited to spend the last few days outside. It's difficult to be stuck inside all winter.

Yesterday he rode his bike all afternoon

We are really looking forward to the city pool opening next month and the weather reaching the 80's so that we can go swimming. Shane is a fish and just loves the water.

3 year old Pictures

I can't believe my little boy is going to be 3 in April. Time flies by so quickly.
Because I wanted to have his pictures ready and printed for his birthday I took them a little early this year.

I am really happy with the way they turned out.

Which one is your favorite?

Playdate

Tonight Shane had a playdate. The girls and I went to High school together and we all have kids around the same age. He had a blast and I am looking forward to another playdate in the future.

I was nice for him to play with his friends and nice to have some girl talk with the other mom's.

Here are some pics of Shane's new friends :)

The so called "BIG SNOW STORM"

We were supposed to get 14 inches of snow Yesterday. I think we ended up with like 4 or 5. Anyways I let Shane take advantage of it since I don't plan to be living here next winter. I documented with my Camera.

He really had a blast. I guess if wants snow we can always visit or take him up in the mountains.

I have been waiting for weeks

to announce that my BFF is pregnant with her first child. I am so excited. I found out before her family because she had to tell someone but I had to keep quite till Thanksgiving when they announced it.

My son will either have a future wife or BFF of his own. She is finding out the sex of the baby right after Christmas. She is 15 weeks and doing well.

Here are a few pics I took last night

I just wanted to share my excitement.
Be prepared for many post and pictures to follow :)

A few new pics of Shane and photography tips

Shot Shane last week for fun. He gets lots of pictures having a Mommy Photographer.
Some things that make a Professional picture.

Lighting- There needs to be no shadows on walls behind or next to the person or people in the pictures. Really the best way to do this is by having an external flash. The only way if your a professional.

Coloring- you want the subjects skin to look natural just like in person. You know a photograph is bad for example if the skin on the subject is deep red or blue. The subject shouldn't look so red they seem to be holding their breath ready to combust at any minute lol

Focus- Unless you are intentionally focusing on another object say the shoe in this picture I took of shane at 6 months old.
The focus should be on the subjects face. Meaning the face should be crisp and clear and not look blurry.

Anyways here are the pictures I took of Shane last week. Enjoy!
