SIMPLYMADE REVIEW AND GIVEAWAY

For the past few weeks I have been putting together Shane's new room. When we move Shane will have a cowboy room.
I was searching etsy for things to add to his room. I came across SimplyMade. This store has the coolest hand painted items. I was super excited when Nancy offered to hand paint Shane's name to match his new room.

I was even more excited and impressed when I received his name in the mail. Nancy is truly an artist. The letters match so well to his new sheets and comforter. I can't wait to get them on the wall when we move. His room is going to be fantastic!

HAPPY SUNDAY UPDATE

Hope all of you have been having a Great Weekend.
Friday after Phil got off work we went to visit my MIL and FIL. They missed Shane since the had not seen him in a couple of weeks and wanted to see him. I always love going over there :) Yesterday was wonderful. I attended my friend Nancy's wedding shower (Phil didn't call one time). I'm lucky. He is a fantastic dad that appreciates me and wants me to go out once and a while and have a good time. I only say this because I hear terrible stories of dads who are very controlling who call the mothers of their children, scream at them and make them come home while they are in standing in weddings or dads who spend all their money and time at the casino's and neglect their significant others and kid(s). Isn't that awful? Makes me feel really lucky to have such an amazing dedicated husband :)


Before dinner last night Phil and I took Shane to the park for some quality time. Shane loved the slide. He wasn't to fond of it last year but this year he loved it.


"Fingers Crossed" In house News we had a showing yesterday and we have an open house going on now.

Soda Stream Review and Giveaway

As spring and summer are fast approaching and the weather has been getting warmer, I have been excited to spend more time outdoors. Of course I want to look my best and so I have been looking for ways to cut carbs. In our house we love soda or pop as we call it here in Michigan.

When I found Soda Stream I had to try it. Soda stream is an awesome little machine that you can make soda on from home without all the sugar of store bought soda (which means less calories and carbs). It requires no batteries or electricity to work.
Not only can you make Diet and Regular soda you can make sparkling water.

Soda stream was kind enough to send me Genesis soda maker kit.
We have had so much fun this past week trying different flavors. It's really easy to make. You add water to the line labeled on the bottle. Then you attach the bottle to the machine, press the button till you hear 3 loud beeps, take the bottle off the machine and add the flavor of your choice SLOWLY (or you'll have an eruption). Cap and shake the bottle lightly and then serve.




It tastes just like store bought soda. There are lots of flavors to chose from. We liked the Pete's choice(Dr Pepper) and orange the best so far.
