Do you have any really yummy crock pot recipes?

  2. Crock Pot Asian Peanut Butter Pork

    1.5-2lbs pork tenderloin
    1 onion, sliced in rings
1/4 cup soy sauce (I used La Choy; it's gluten free)
    1/4 cup brown sugar
    3 tablespoons white wine vinegar
    3 tablespoons water
    2 garlic cloves, chopped
1/2 cup creamy natural peanut butter
2 tablespoons chopped peanuts (garnish; optional)
1 lime, cut in wedges (garnish; optional)
Use a 4-6 quart crockpot. Put onion slices into the bottom of your crockpot. Put the pork on top. Add brown sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, water, garlic, and peanut butter. No need to stir--the peanut butter needs to melt before you can do so. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, or on high for 4-6. The pork will be more tender the longer you cook it. 1 hour before serving, flip the meat over in the crockpot to allow the other side to soak up the peanutbuttery goodness. Garnish with chopped peanuts, and serve with lime wedges. The lime juice mixed with the peanut butter is delicious.

This is one of my favorites! I serve it over rice and make sandwiches the next day with the leftovers on toasted bread! YUM!!!

  3. Have you seen Stephanies blog? All crock pot recipes? It's A Year Of Slowcooking. Plus, I have a whole section of crock pot recipes on my blog. I LOVE my crockpot. In fact, I just shredded some meat that has been cooking all day in it. It was a 3 1/2 lb. chuck roast that I put a TON of spices on and just cooked it all day and shredded it. It will make 2 or 3 meals. I'm making enchiladas with the meat tomorrow night.

  5. Slow Cooker Hash Brown Casserole. I found this on About.com a few years ago and have been making it ever since!

    Ingredients:

    * 30 to 32 ounces frozen shredded hash browns, thawed
    * 1 cup chopped onion, optional
    * 1 can (10 3/4 ounces) condensed nacho cheese soup, undiluted
    * 1 can (10 3/4 ounces) condensed cream of celery soup, undiluted
    * 8 ounces light sour cream
    * 6 tablespoons melted butter

    Preparation:
Spray the crockery insert with nonstick cooking spray or lightly grease the inside surface. Combine the thawed hash browns, onion, soups, sour cream, and melted butter. Pack into the slow cooker insert. Cover and cook on LOW for 5 to 6 hours.
    Serves 6.

  6. My husband absolutely loves this stew! I have made it countless times!

    Bratwurst Stew

    2 10 3/4 oz. cans fat-free chicken broth
    4 medium sized carrots, sliced
2 ribs celery, cut in chunks
    1 medium-sized onion, chopped
    1 tsp dried basil
    1/2 tsp garlic powder
    3 cups chopped cabbage
2 1-lb cans great northern beans, drained
5 fully cooked bratwurst links, cut into 1/2" slices

    1. Combine all ingredients in slow cooker.
    2. Cook on high 3-4 hours, or until veggies are tender.

My husband doesn't eat pork, so I usually make it with turkey sausage instead of bratwurst. Also, I have made it with and without the cabbage and it is great both ways!
