Thomas Bagel Thins Healthy Breakfast Recipes

A lot of us including myself want to eat healthier this year.

Eating healthier starts with a good breakfast and Thomas has teamed up with Nutritionist, Keri Glassman, author of the O2 Diet to offer a new way of thinking about breakfast foods, by giving you some fabulous morning tips and recipes to start 2011 off on the right foot.




Thomas makes bagel thins that are only 110 calories including plain, 100 percent whole wheat, cinnamon raisin and everything. Pain the bagel thins with other healthy items and you can have a healthy Breakfast to start your day off right.




Here are some of Keri Glassmans recipes using Thomas bagel thins

Easy Cheesy Eggwich

Ingredients:

1 Everything Thomas’® Bagel Thins™ bagel

1 hard boiled omega-3 fortified egg

2 slices reduced fat cheddar cheese

1/4 teaspoon dried basil

Directions:

1. Toast the Bagel Thins™ bagel.

2. Peel and slice egg.

3. Layer cheese slices and egg, then sprinkle with basil.


Nuts about Breakfast

Ingredients:

Plain Thomas’® Bagel Thins™ bagel
1 tablespoon almond, cashew or peanut butter
1 tablespoon walnuts, chopped
1 tablespoon raisin, chopped
2 tablespoon strawberries, sliced

Directions:
1. Toast the Bagel Thins™ bagel.
2. Layer with nut butter, walnuts, raisins and strawberries.


I also want to note that I use bagel thins for other meals including afternoon sandwiches and to make pizza bagels for dinner.
