Summer Family movie nights...Don't miss Teen Beach Movie on Disney Channel Friday 7/19

 Every friday we have family movie night. It's a great way to spend time together as a family after a long week. We all pile in the loft and pick a movie and eat popcorn and candy.

 Friday July 19th is going to be a special family movie night for our family because Disney Channel has a new original movie premiering that night called "TEEN BEACH MOVIE". YOU CAN TUNE INTO DISNEY CHANNEL AT 8:00pm ET/PT!

Teen Beach movie is geared towards kids and tweens Ages 6-14 and their families.
The soundtrack features 12 songs influenced by surf rock, Motown R&B, Rockability and Pop
The plot showcases positive themes like self-expression, friendship and youth empowerment.

The Plot

"Brady and McKenzie are both high school friends. They both enjoy surfing and watching their favorite beach musical film, Wet Side Story, set in the 1960's era of rock 'n roll, bikers, beach and surfing. They've talked so much about how they would love to be in their favorite movie to live that era. After the death of her mother, McKenzie promised her aunt she would focus on her future, including college, and has to move away with her, putting her relationship with Brady in trouble. After Brady insists on McKenzie having one last wave with him, they both fall off their boards. As they wake up, they realize they have been transported into Wet Side Story and decide to play along with the plot and try to fit in. But after their film's lead man falls for McKenzie, as well as their film's lead girl falls for Brady, the film's plot changes completely, starting a whole new plot and slowly causing Brady and McKenzie to become part of the movie itself. It's up to Brady and McKenzie to make sure the film's plot goes as it originally is to get out of it as well and enjoy one more day together.



Teen Beach movie is the perfect movie for the whole family. We can't wait to watch it for family movie night. Shane already has his "Teen Beach" gear ready.

AudioBooks HQ app now in itunes

I was sent the AudioBooks HQ app to review and I think its really a great app, so I wanted to tell you about it. 

 The AudioBooks HQ App is a great app to have on your phone. It comes with over 5,800 free books pre-loaded and you can subscribe for as little as 84 cents per month and can now enjoy additional free audiobooks from online catalogs. For instance, selections from LibriVox Live (6,570+ classic books), Podiobooks Live (630+ contemporary books), and Globe Radio Repertory (4 performance audiobook) bringing the app's total collection to over 7,200 books!

I really like this app because it is laid out very user friendly with lost of extra features. You can browse by genres, tags, books, authors, top rated and recent additions. Your library is laid out so that you can search the audio books you downloaded by author, title or recent.  They have really put a lot of work in making this app so user friendly. 

I have been enjoying listening to my audio books at home in the evenings and in the car. My 5 year old son even asks me to turn on the children's audiobooks when we are running errands.  He really enjoys listening to the stories. 


In addition to the update to Audiobooks HQ, Inkstone has also released a new free version of the app - Audiobooks Free. Audiobooks Free comes with over 5,000 books pre-loaded (slightly less than Audiobooks HQ) and offers users access to the same subscription services available on Audiobooks HQ.
