Today is a Full moon! I wont go into details but it was one of those days where we somehow came into contact with every crazy person around. Me here at home through phone calls and answering doors and my husband at his job.
I can really say I'll be glad when today is over. It's one of those can't wait to go to bed so tomorrow is here and you can start over days.
Despite all of the craziness my ribs turned out fantastic and we had a great dinner.
(This was taken from my camera on my cell phone)
We are looking forward to the leftovers and to what we hope is a nice quiet family weekend.

Big Update
We Have been busy.
Our contracts were up and so we got new phones. Samsung rogues and so far we love them. How technology advances so quickly.
Today I went grocery shopping at Costco and then I Marinated 3 racks of ribs. We will be having them for dinner tomorrow and the rest of the weekend! (Gotta love Bulk from Costco).
In House news. We reduced the price of the house another 5k in hopes to sell it soon. (please sell soon house). Oh How I long to be in Arizona.
Shane has hit Terrible 2's. He is just getting into everything and time-outs have begun to be regular around here. Typical boy interested in everything :)
I have convinced Phil to get tested to see if he has a shellfish allergy. He had what he thought was a reaction a few years ago but I'm not convinced, so instead of giving up seafood forever, I thought we should make sure first he actually is allergic. That will take place on the 13th so stay tuned for the results on that.
Also I will be adding giveaways to my blog very soon.
So ask everyone to publicly Follow my blog so that they have the opportunity to win some great stuff.
So please won't you send your friends on over :)

MOM
As today is ending I just wanted to take a moment to tell you about my mom. 20 years ago today she passed away from multiple myeloma a rare cancer for a 47 year old.
"Multiple myeloma is a cancer of your plasma cells, a type of white blood cell present in your bone marrow. Plasma cells normally make proteins called antibodies to help you fight infections.
In multiple myeloma, a group of abnormal plasma cells (myeloma cells) multiplies, raising the number of plasma cells to a higher than normal level. Since these cells normally make proteins, the level of abnormal proteins in your blood also may go up. Health problems caused by multiple myeloma can affect your bones, immune system, kidneys and red blood cell count". mayo clinic
Also 20 years ago there wasn't the technology and medicines available and so in stage 3-4 when she was diagnosed the odds were very much against her. They have progressed a lot as far as treatment but there is still no cure.
My mom was an amazing woman who never complained. She was loving and kind. She loved to shop and she loved children. She was an elementary teacher until I was born when she decided to stay home with me. She loved sweets and she loved planning and hosting parties. She had a lot of friends and was just all around fun to be around.
I miss her very much and it breaks my heart that Shane won't know her and that I didn't get the time with her I deserved. When I think about her especially on days like today I realize how lucky I am to have had such a wonderful mother and I know she is saving a spot in heaven for me when it's my time to be with God.
For those of you that are lucky enough to have your mothers still with you I hope you give them a hug and a kiss and tell them how much you love them because there are people like me who would give anything to be able to be in your shoes.
I Love You Mom

Happy 2010
Yes I am late and I missed Photo Friday. New Years Eve Phil and I spent a quiet evening at home discussing our plans for 2010. We are very excited 2010 is here. We feel this is going to be a great year for us.
I have started potty training with Shane. It's very time consuming and going to be a longer process than I had thought but it is going well. He understands all the concepts and sits well on the potty. He even uses it when he has to go. The problem we seem to have is his bladder muscles seem like they need some more time to develop. (I was told most boys need to at least 2 before the bladder is ready). Many times he tells me as he is going and it doesn't give me enough time to get him to the potty. It's a process but we are happy that he is doing so well considering he is not even 2 yet.
In other news
Shane is excited to see his Godmother on Friday...She has been working a lot and she could not make her weekly visit this past week.
We have an open house on Sunday and are praying for a good showing and an offer or two.
Tomorrow is a very special day but more on that in another post.
We hope everyone has a Great 2010 and we look forward to the fun times and memories the next 12 months will bring.
