Initially Yours Review and Giveaway

Initially Yours is a great little Etsy Store that makes cute unique monogrammed outfits for kids. They are hand made but look so professional. Seriously there wasn't a flaw in the outfit I received for shane.

The plaid look is so trendy right now and I love how adorable Shane looks in plaid shorts. When I was given the chance to pick an outfit to review for Shane I chose the
Anchor Madras Shorts Set.



Like I said I was very impressed. Not a flaw in the outfit. I ordered it a size big because the shirts come in even sizes but it still looks great on Shane. Plus I bet he will fit into it next year. He wears it all the time and I think its so neat to have his name on the shirt since his name isn't super common.

Pictures from my Vacation

There are a lot so I just picked a few. Some are with the point and shoot and some with my professional camera. You can tell the difference.

I had a lot of you ask about my camera. I shoot with a canon 50d and an external flash ( 430ex speedlight). The external flash is super important because its the only way to get proper lighting. The on board flash can not be adjusted ( moved to accommodate lighting situations) and is not good for lighting when taking professional pictures.


Try your best to ignore my watermarks on my professional images. It's unfortunate but some people are stealing and editing photos and claiming them as their own when they are not so the bigger the watermark makes it harder for people to steal the photos.

I received the Mary Jane in bubble gum Pink to review. These shoes are so cute. They are made of leather and are very lightweight. I love the soles. Its neat how they imitate barefoot walking and give leverage.

5 things AMISH

#5 The Amish believe that if you take their pictures it steals their souls (hope I didn't steal any souls this weekend...lol)

#4 If an Amish Man is married he has a beard. If he is single he does not but often men get married early so you rarely see an Amish man without a beard.

#3 Amish live very simply. Most don't have electricity unless it is run on a generator. They don't use city power. You can tell an Amish house because they don't use curtains so the windows are bare and see through.

#2 The Amish make the Best Food. Their Jerky and Cheese is to die for!

Vacation Update and Extra entry

We are having a great time here is Shippsy. Yesterday we arrived around 12:30 pm and hit the most amazing cheese shop. Amish Make the BEST cheese. They had tons of samples and cheeses I had never heard of. My Favorite was the garlic cheese. It tastes amazing just like a garlic spread.

Then we headed into town and grabbed lunch at this cute little store with amazing sandwhiches. It was 95 degrees and super humid so we decided it would be best to hit the Amish grocery stores and buy the food items we wanted to bring home so we could take them right back to my FIL's Fridge.

We hit up the Amish meat shop and got some Beef Jerky and then stopped at the Amish grocery store to get some famous Amish peanut butter, butters and jam's. We headed to my FIL's and relaxed with my MIL and FIL for the rest of the evening.

Today we got up bright and early had breakfast and went into town with my MIL and FIL (1/2 hour from my FIL's). We walked around and did some shopping. Shane had a blast seeing the horses and hanging out with his Grandparents. We came back and then hit Papa Vino's for a wonderful dinner.

Tomorrow more shopping.

It's beautiful here. They country roads are gorgeous. I have some pictures that I need to transfer that I will be posting soon.

It's Finally Friday and Vacation is Here

Costco and a Cool New Product and Giveaway Update

Let me first off say I LOVE Costco. Buying in bulk is great. It's also always fun to look around as they always carry neat products. We went to Costco this past weekend and I found a great product.

Please note I was in no way compensated by money or free review product to write about this. I just think its awesome and wanted to share.

This is genius. It's called Snuggle Buds and it comes in different animals. We got Shane the doggie.

It's a stuffed animal that has a Sleeping bag inside that rolls out and then you use the animal for a pillow. Shane loves it.







I love Costco even More Now. We will be taking it on vacation for Shane to sleep in.
It was only 15 bucks and it's big enough to grow into. I believe the tag said for 2-6 year olds. It looks to me like you could use it past 6 years old if you kid wasn't super tall.

Speaking of vacation we will be leaving Friday morning and returning either Sunday night or sometime Monday.

Because I am not sure if I will have internet access while I am there I will be extending all giveaways that are supposed to end this Friday through the weekend. So feel free to enter during the weekend as all entries this weekend will count :)

I am a beginner sewer. I have used the sewing machine on occasion but am not anything more than beginner. I was sent 2 patterns to review from Little Lizard King and these patterns are amazing. So easy to follow. They have step by step instructions and pictures. Just looking at them I know I could follow them and make the finished piece look great.

Gynx Designs t-shirt Review and Giveaway

I really like customized clothing. I like shirts that are original one of a kind. I was browsing etsy a few weeks ago and came across Gynx Designs.

Laura makes the coolest shirts. They are very hip, modern and are hand done by Laura.



I was sent the Semi-Chaotic Lines V neck Tee. I love this shirt. It is original, comfortable and fits perfect. Laura was great about her contact making sure she had the perfect fit shirt with the perfect colors for me. She was spot on. I love this shirt so much it will be going with me on Vacation next weekend. I can't wait to wear it again and get more compliments on it.



Because this shirt is hand made please be aware that it does have spots where the paint is thicker and some where its thinner. I think it gives it character.

A spin on walking down the isle

I didn't want to walk down the isle on my wedding day to a traditional song. I was absolutely in love with the Show EVERWOOD that had just ended so I walked down to the EVERWOOD THEME SONG



It was a bit modern and fit perfectly.

However if I had not walked to Everwood I might have done what this couple did.

Maybe for our 25th renewal :)




I just wonder if my husband would have agreed to dance down the isle.

We love this mattress pad. My husband tends to get hot at night and was waking up sweaty and sticky until we used this mattress pad. For 2 weeks now he has not gotten overly hot while sleeping and has not woken up in a sweat. I really think this mattress pad does a great job of balancing temperature. It also makes our bed much more comfortable. I would definitely recommend this mattress pad to anyone especially those who live in a warmer climate.
